General Information

 

Shuttle, Parking, and Transportation Options

**Parking will be extremely limited**

Bus route that services the UT STADIUM and for more personalized trip info visit www.capmetro.org/planner

  • MetroRapid Routes (801 and 803)
  • MetroBus 7 Route

Shuttle Bus

Parking will be available at the DPS Austin Office or UT Shuttle (Free) at the corner of San Jacinto and Dean. A bus will drop you off within a block of the stadium. The shuttle will also return you back to your car. The shuttle will run 2 hours prior to call time and 2 hours after the end of your shift. 

What NOT to have: 

No visible piercings
No visible tattoos
No nail polish or acrylic / fake nails
No fake eyelashes
No perfume
No purses, bags, backpacks, etc. 

Certifications Required: 

TABC (if handling alcohol) - click here to complete online certification course
Food Handler Certification (required for ALL staff) - click here to complete the online certification

 

 

Dress Code Requirements for ALL:

  • BLACK non-slip shoes
  • BLACK socks, shoes and laces
  • BLACK polo
  • BLACK hat
  • BLACK DRESS slacks with a BLACK solid belt
  • STRICTLY CLEAR BAGS
  • (NO BIGGER THAN A GALLON ZIPLOCK BAG)
  • Natural hair color
  • Earrings must be smaller than a dime
  • If ring is worn, must ONLY be a solid band.

UT Expectations: 

When asked a question and you are unsure of the answer you must not respond with, "I don't know", Instead reply with "Let me find out for you".

When giving directions, do not point, instead use your whole hand as directions or walk with the guest to the desired location.

 

CASHIERS / RUNNERS

BEFORE AND AFTER THE GAME

  • Must be flexible with the assignment given
  • Traffic, road closures, long lines, crowds
  • Early call time 
  • MUST check in and check out after shift 
  • Wait time for check-in
  • Must carry a valid ID 
  • Large facility, be patient with finding your assignment 

DURING YOUR SHIFT

  • Before gates, a slow period 
  • Gates open, small rush
  • Half-time, extreme high volume 
  • Long periods of standing on feet 
  • During peak hours - expect limited to no break 
  • Demanding customers are to be expected, remember supply vs. demand is not always equal

**MUST HAVE  VALID TABC CERTIFICATION WITH YOU**

COOKS & PREP COOKS 

BEFORE AND AFTER THE GAME

  • MUST be flexible with the assignment given 
  • Expect traffic, road closures, long lines, crowds 
  • Early call time 
  • MUST check in and out after shift 
  • Wait time for check in 
  • Must carry a valid ID 
  • Large facility, so be patient with finding your assignment location

DURING YOUR SHIFT

  • Before gates, a slow period and setting up full bar
  • Gates open, small rush with steady food output
  • Half-time, extreme high volume, and fast pace food output
  • Long periods of standing on feet
  • During peak hours limited to no break 
  • Continuous flow of orders 
  • After game is over, prepare for a FULL breakdown and CLEAN-UP

**MUST HAVE FOOD HANDLER CERTIFICATION & EXPERIENCE AS A COOK**

SERVERS

BEFORE AND AFTER THE GAME

  • MUST be flexible with the assignment given
  • Traffic, road closures, long lines, crowds
  • Early call time
  • MUST check in / out after shift with the provided shirt 
  • Wait time for check in 
  • MUST carry valid ID & TABC Certification
  • Large facility, be patient with finding your assignment location

DURING YOUR SHIFT

  • Before gates, slow period with last minute drop of food and beverage 
  • Gates Open, steady rush, getting food pans when 2/3 empty and replacing at 1/3 full
  • Half-time, extreme high volume with urgency and strong communication to Kitchen and supervisor
  • Keeping area clean, stocked and presentable 
  • Knowing where replacement utensils are located 
  • Knowledge of general questions, i.e. "what's on the menu?", location of bathrooms 
  • Long periods of standing on feet
  • During peak hours, limited to no break allowed
  • Demanding customers are to be expected, supply vs. demand is not always equal

**MUST HAVE VALID TABC CERTIFICATION WITH YOU**

BARTENDERS 

BEFORE AND AFTER THE GAME

  • MUST be flexible with the assignment given
  •  Traffic, road closures, long lines, crowds 
  • Early call time
  • MUST check in and out after shift with the provided uniform. (Long sleeve button down with "1883" logo) 
  • Wait time for check in 
  • MUST carry valid ID & TABC Certification 
  • Knowledge of Tip Share Programs 
  • Large facility, be patient with finding your assignment location

DURING YOUR SHIFT

  • Before gates, slow period and setting up a full bar
  • Gates Open, small rush with a lot of "Welcomes" 
  • Half-Time, extreme high volume, fast pace (make sure you are fully stocked to par)
  • Long periods of standing on feet
  • During peak hours limited to no break
  • Demanding customers, look out for intoxicated fans
  • Underage serving is unacceptable, MUST ASK ID FOR ALL GUESTS!
  • After the game is over prepare for a FULL breakdown
